Payne Tailoring has been dedicated to creating
stylishly tailored clothing since 1969
Take the sartorial journey and be treated to a truly bespoke experience
Payne Tailoring was established in 1969 by Burt Payne and still remains at the same location. Remarkably, Burt was well into his 80s before he was ready to hang up his tape measure.
In 1997, Nasir Ali took over the reins and set about refining aspects of the business, especially the bespoke experience.
So that the clientele, private or corporate, will always be assured of quality and attention to detail.
Each of our staff contribute something unique and special to the team. Our longest serving member has been with us for 22 years.
By combining both experience and skill we are able to achieve excellence in design and quality of finish.
The connection with our client is very important to us – bespoke tailoring interprets both physical proportion and the client’s character into the cut of the cloth and fine design.
Bespoke Personal Tailoring
Ones choice of clothing is seen as a reflection of a persons personality and relationships they maintain.
Our bespoke tailoring service establishes a personal relationship between the master tailor and the client in order to translate the individuals needs into garments of exceptional quality and fit.
The bespoke tailoring experience is characterised by the 3 Cs
– cut, cloth and construction.
Often garments can become less desirable due to fashion changes or become unflattering due to body changes. Let our innovative remodelling service bring a new lease of life to your existing garments.
Costume Tailoring, Theatre, Performance
Having extensive knowledge and experience of clothing throughout history and cultures enables our costume service to create wonderful attire for both theatrical and performance areas.
Bespoke Corporate Attire
Standards of attire or dress codes are common within any substantial organization. In the case of corporate attire, the master tailor first works to understand the brand implications which must be translated into garments, working with considerations of practicality and variations in physical form to arrive at a cohesive solution to your corporate wardrobe requirements
